Local people. Lasting stories.

A new reader is
a pretty good ending.

We’re a local family business that has been repurposing books and media since 2008. Resale helps support our family and keeps our community pickup service free.

Books also reach readers through community sales and the Give Back Books program for schools and teachers.

Before you clear the shelf

A few good questions.

All frequently asked questions
Is book pickup free?

Yes. Give My Books offers a free community pickup service. Reselling suitable books helps support the service and the family business.

Do you take fiction and children’s books?

Yes. GMB accepts fiction, children’s books, nonfiction, and old or new textbooks in usable condition. Hardcovers and paperbacks are welcome.

What should I leave out?

Please leave out encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers, VHS tapes, and non-audiobook cassettes. Damaged, moldy, or mildewed items are not accepted.

How do I pack my books?

Use sturdy boxes or bags that one person can carry. Every box must weigh less than 50 pounds. Fill containers without making them too heavy, and double-bag paper sacks when possible.
